There’s so much to do in Eden with the kids, and it just got even better with the addition of Eden’s new playground and skate park along with the awesome trails and pump track out at Gravity Eden. Here’s our list of ten family friendly things to do in Eden (in no particular order) but remember – its just a sample, there’s so much more! Pop in and visit the friendly volunteers at the Eden Visitor Information Centre for more info and don’t forget to check out our dedicated family friendly page of recommendations “The Little People” on page 20 of our Eden Visitor Guide!

  • Take the kids to meet Old Tom and be enthralled at the stories of Eden’s famous orca’s at the Eden Killer Whale Museum;
  • Throw the scooters in the car and scoot along Aslings Beach Walkway, stopping at the all new Eden Skate Park on the way;
  • Explore rock pools around Aslings Beach Rock Pool or at Haycock Point to look for crabs, anemones and other sea creatures;
  • Cool off with a dip at the Eden Memorial Swimming Pool – with a full sized outdoor Olympic pool and a kids splash pool – inflatables are welcome!;
  • Hit the pump track and new trails at Eden’s new world class mountain bike park, with trails for young beginners to black trails for the experts, there is something for the whole family (if you can even get the kids off the pump track to start!);
  • Pump some nippers at low tide at Nullica Rivermouth and marvel at the soldier crab swarms before you catch tonight’s dinner fishing at the wharves at Snug Cove;
  • Drop by Cattle Bay with the kids kayak’s and inflatables for a sheltered swim, float and paddle;
  • Meet the locals out at Quarantine Bay where the fish cleaning tables are surrounded by giant stingrays and pelicans – and if you’re lucky a seal might drop by as well;
  • Beachside playgrounds abound with Cocora Beach (setup with BBQ’s for you to cook some snags for lunch / dinner) or the fabulous new playground at Barclay Street beside Aslings Beach;
  • Experience “Wildlife at the Wharf” when local mobile Tiny Zoo visits the Eden Visitor Information Centre with a range of native Australian wildlife. Cuddle a baby Squirrel Glider or hold a Diamond Python, with a 40 minute educational talk by the zoo keeper. Bookings recommended.

We hope you have a fabulous time in Eden these holidays and make some lasting family memories.
